Sinopsis

A finales de la década de 1980 en New York. Jimmy George, un carismático artista del Downtown, se rebela contra su propia mortalidad entregándose por completo a un nuevo papel, a un romance imprudente y al abrazo de su comunidad creativa.

Ira Sachs (escritor / director) es un cineasta radicado en la Ciudad de Nueva York cuyas películas incluyen Peter Hujar’s Day, Passages, Little Men, Love is Strange, Keep the Lights On y Forty Shades of Blue, ganadora del 2005 Sundance Dramatic Grand Jury Prize. Becario Guggenheim en 2013, así como artista residente en MacDowell y Yaddo, Sachs ha sido asesor frecuente en los Sundance Directors and Screenwriters Labs desde principios de la década de 2000. Su trabajo forma parte de las colecciones permanentes del MoMA y el Whitney Museum of Art, y en 2009, Sachs fundó Queer|Art, una organización artística sin fines de lucro que ahora se encuentra en su decimoquinto año y que brinda mentoría y apoyo a artistas queer y trans a través de diversas disciplinas y generaciones.

Ira Sachs (Writer / Director) is a NYC-based filmmaker whose feature films include Peter Hujar’s Day, Passages, Little Men, Love is Strange, Keep the Lights On and Forty Shades of Blue, winner of the 2005 Sundance Dramatic Grand Jury Prize. A 2013 Guggenheim Fellow, as well as an artist resident at MacDowell and Yaddo, Sachs has been a frequent Advisor at the Sundance Directors and Screenwriters Labs since the early 2000s. His work is in the permanent collections at MoMA and the Whitney Museum of Art, and in 2009, Sachs founded Queer|Art, a non-profit arts organization now in its 15th year, that provides mentorship and support for queer and trans artists across disciplines and generations. 

Over the span of more than 35 years, Ira Sachs has developed a personal cinema defined by its precise, unsentimental exploration of relationships, romantic and familial, as well as the complexities of sexual desire and intimate life.
